Balarés is not a simple beach nestled in A Costa da Morte in the municipality of Ponteceso, this place offers those who walk in its path a space of tranquility and well-being gifted by nature itself. We had always been clear that this was the right place for our definitive project; We dreamed of a hotel that would give itself completely to the landscape and, in turn, with a cozy family restaurant where we could enjoy the raw material that distinguishes us, the most native and genuine flavours.
The roots of a town are its essence. This space guarantees not only a culinary experience but also a natural paradise, a pleasure for all five senses. This cozy atmosphere takes us back to the kitchens of yesteryear, everything revolves around the heat of the stove and its old hearth, that meeting space of all Galician houses synonymous with closeness and family unity.

The privileged natural environment in which we find ourselves, a historic rural nucleus and nestled in an area of special environmental protection, assures us of the exclusivity, tranquility and purity of the environment, ideal for a perfect rest in the middle of nature. We are a few meters from the Balarés beach and with all our spaces open on all four sides to the natural landscape that surrounds us.
Around an old stone house and a granary, more than a hundred years old, we have developed new spaces that are respectful of the environment that surrounds us. With a sustainable project, we have arranged six apartments, with warm rooms and careful decoration, with all the necessary equipment for a comfortable independent stay and also all the services of a Hotel so that you can choose the way to enjoy your rest.
We are Silvia Facal and Rafa Varela, hospitality professionals by vocation. After many years developing our careers outside of our land, we have decided to return to our place of origin and turn our grandparents' house into a gastronomic and hotel space, honoring their hospitality and continuing their legacy dedicated to the care of this little paradise. For years we have tried to take to other places, through our kitchen, the best products of A Costa da Morte; now we want you to come and enjoy them here, in their natural environment.
We personally run the accommodation, kitchen and living room. We deal, every day, with the search for the best local products, directly from the producer, convinced that, in addition to the unquestionable quality that we obtain, we contribute to the development of a key circular economy for our environment, a natural pantry of seafood and of the land that we are obliged to value.
